Hi

We live in a world were everybody is to himself and nobody really cares about another, even with the many signs of how troubled people are. We need to really take out time to do a good check on the people around us, and especially through there status  on social media sites. Simple truth, many a people are depressed and need other to come to there rescue, but we are all busy for nothing. What then is your worth if you can't reach out to people around you and be the comfort and part to peace that they so long for. Am not speaking this evening because I just felt like talking, but I came to a point whereby I needed people to talk to and people to share my heart with, and I did put up those signs to see who will come around but no one did. So, how about we take out time each day to do a little check on other people apart from ourselves? You never can tell how a 'Hi' or 'Hello'you say to someone will go a long way in cheering that person. Here then are action point...

Doing Good

*Doing Good* Imagine fetching water from the well and turning it into a basket, so it is doing Good and receive no accolades. Imagine doing good to someone, expecting at least an appreciation, but ended up getting nothing?  Or perhaps, you invested time and resources into a relationship, business, academic, persons etc, expecting a form or returns in and from it but nothing came out of it? You see, life don't always treat and give us what we want and deserve and especially what is due to us most time, but should that stop you from doing and being the good that you are? I still remembered someone that I went completely out of my boundaries to assist back then in secondary, but do you know what, not a word or act of appreciation came from that fellow. But this never stopped me from doing the little good I can do whenever am oppurtune to do. You should do good, not because of the applause you will get from it, but because it feels right doing good. You never can tell how a random...

Change Agent

It was about 9pm, it was dark and raining, I however had to drive my younger sister down to a health care center close to our house to continue with the dosage of an injection she was on. Now, because of the continuous down pour of rain, the road leading to my street was somewhat eroded and took me great pains to maneuver the car through the path. Thankfully, I was able to drive out and return back home. So, I decided to do something about the situation.  Even if not for anything, for my Dad who will continue using that route and as well other persons in my neighborhood, as I will be returning to School. Early the next day, just immediately after the family devotion, I braced myself up, mobilised my younger brother, and a cousin to go fix the "pin in the buttocks". Accordingly, we took some buckets, two hoes since we had no digger, and a shovel and headed straight to site. After much deliberation and consideration, we prayed and began work. We got stones from around the n...

Self Motivation

*SELF MOTIVATION* Have you come to a point in your life where you needed some kind of motivation to keep you going and none or very little seemed to be coming, well then, let me share this with you. I was with a friend who is into sports. And please, it's not the kind of sport that most of us do just by going to the stadium or field for training and exercise. This fellow is into sports big time and somehow, it has been paying his bills. Now, for a big time sports person, one expects that he goes for competitions and tournaments locally and maybe internationally. However, this fellow always represents an Institution in many of such competitions. Lets not misunderstand this. In an ideal society, when you represent an institution or a body, that platform is expected to sponsor you because you represent it. But for my friend, the contrary is the case. My friend pays for every expense incurred in any tournament or competition. Now, why do you think my friend kept financing every co...

Bitterness

*BITTERNESS* So,  I woke up this morning and this question came to my mind. How do you treat people? Do you treat people well because they treat you well or do you treat them based on how they treat you? Let me share a story. Some time in August this year, I was returning from a study session  together with some of my friends. As we walked, I saw a fellow I knew and as was my custom, I quickly tried to reach out to the person, but I was neglected (in public!!). I felt very bad and insulted. I kept trying to figure what wrong I had done to get such ill treatment. After much thought, I decided to also go the same way; neglect the person subsequently. Well, to fast forward the story, yesterday I saw the person and  I noticed that I was not just ignoring the person but I had developed BITTERNESS towards this fellow. At first, it was just "ignore the fellow" and never liked to hear the person's name, talk more of seeing the person, little did I know that 'ignoring...
