GOOD DEED

An anonymous person described a good deed as an act of selflessness that helps others and pleases them, done from the heart with no expectations of any form of reward or compensation. Another says good deeds are spontaneous acts of kindness, accommodation, generosity, benevolence, charity, sympathy, assistance all performed with the noble intention of being helpful with no expectation of a compensation of any kind.
So much bad blood amongst family, siblings, friends, neighbors, and strangers alike, all because we do not possess the gift of foresight which permits us the luxury of knowing each others intentions or whom to trust.
There is so much evil in the land and all we think of and see is how much bad there is, how evil and wicked the society is. We have all forgotten that a little show of concern from all of us is what we need now more than ever.
In these turbulent time we actually only do have each other, and these little good deeds that we take so trivial might be all the hope another needs to carry on. It is difficult to be good with so much bad in the world, but doesn't the light of a lit match give a distinct glow in the dark? no mater how little, it makes a difference..... if we all put our lights together we sure would glow and be a terror to the prevailing darkness-
A good deed could be as simple as smiling to strangers, giving to those in need what you have but do not need yourself, supporting good causes and campaigns and even saying a simple prayer for others.
Do more good, see less evil.
